Born and raised in the far-off reaches of the mountains, now an urban wannabe. I am Alex, Lord of the Dance/Flame/Venti coffees with an extra shot. Always on the lookout for potential debonair antics, I also have an unnatural obsession with the word 'epic.' I've been dancing longer than I've been walking, and tap is my forte. I have an addictive personality, and when people ask me if I'm an escape artist I usually tell them that I am the escape artist. I have a wildly active imagination, and have been warned many times from friends never to take hallucinogens. I love to dance, travel, read, sing (albeit badly), and go on daring adventures with my 8 year old sister Maya. I also have bizarre fixations with Napoleon, and King Ludwig II. To sum things up, I would describe myself as having Obsessive Compulsive Attention Deficit Hyperactive Multiple Personality Disorder, and leave it at that >:)

Music is insanely important to me, and for that it gets its own little category in my profile. Being a dancer since the age of three I've always relied on music to bring me sanity and to provide me with little escapes from real life within the safe confines of my big squashy headphones. I will listen to just about anything, so long as it's not country music because I cannot STAND country music. My favourite genres are alternative, indie, and rock. I've also begun to dwell in the realms of trip-hop and acid jazz and I'm liking what I'm hearing. Bands that I grew up with are Dave Matthews Band, U2, Bruce Springsteen, the Tragically Hip, and Collective Soul. Bands that I've loved for years would be Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Death Cab, Radiohead, The Decemberists, Iron & Wine, and Nine Inch Nails. Right now the bands I'm very much in love with are Foals, Stars, Eels, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, and Flight of the Conchords. My favourite song of all time will always be Night Drive by Jimmy Eat World for reasons I still don't fully understand. I'm always on the lookout for new music, and like any other teenager I enjoy my good guilty pleasure hip hop from time to time. Bands of that category include N.E.R.D, Pitbull, Busta Rhymes, Ying Yang Twins, and Timbaland. Yeeeep, I can be a big loser sometimes, too. Wooo!
